To the south, the roughshod plains of Golgorath give way to shifting sands and relentless heat. The desert of Sthek is nigh uninhabitable, home to giant scorpions, sandworms, and the deadliest snakes on Helios. There is little to no water or plant-life and no relief from the unbearable heat of the sun. The desert tribes who call this land their home do not build their cities above the ground amongst the heat and dust and vicious creatures, but rather in the vast labyrinth of shadowy caverns that wind beneath the ground. There, in Neth’al Tuak, the Lands of Shadow, the Fomorian people dwell.
The cities of the Fomorians have not grown to the grand scale of other subterranean cities, such as those of the Dwarves or Goblins. Fomorians are deceitful and shiftless creatures, unable to cooperate for long before falling to underhanded infighting. Most of their kind live among other races, forsaking the treacherous cities of their homelands. As such, there are few major cities within Neth’al Tuak worthy of mention. Most settlements within the Lands of Shadow are either temporary, moving with their nomadic inhabitants, or small villages of a few families whose rivalries and alliances are so intertwined, their destinies are practically one.

Scorched by the blistering sun, battered by hot, dry winds, and parched without hope for water, Ath’al Sho makes short work of the unwary. Illuminated by the haunting light of luminous mushrooms, Neth'al Tuak is home to the Fomorians and their ceaseless scheming. Here in the dark, one will find as many intrigues as there are shadows.
