PYRO
Fire: the first magic. Since the earliest days of Mortal history, the ability to create and capture fire set them apart from wild beasts and monsters. It drove back the dark, gave warmth, purified food, and was a source of energy, destructive terror, and steady progress. Fire was life. And as civilization grew, so too did Mortal understanding of its great and terrible power. The first pyromancers were those who saw the soul of fire; those who understood it not merely as a tool or a force of nature, but as the beating heart of Mana, the passionate embers burning at the center of all life.
Pyromancers do not have the best reputation, to be sure. Many see them as mad-eyed mystics or magical mercenaries burning the skin off enemies for any warlord with enough coin. But like fire, the Pyromancer is wrongly misunderstood. She is much more than a weapon of destruction or a tool to be used and then put away. The Pyromancer seeks to understand and live in light of a truth few are willing to embrace: that creation and destruction go hand in hand. For new life can never arise from the ashes without a cleansing flame to burn away the old and corrupted. The arts of Pyro offer those with a connection to Mana the power to light a fire in the world, to stoke the embers of hearts they hold dear. One need not be a reckless sorcerer to gain the power of flame; those with enough fire in their own souls and a destiny to match their ferocity often find themselves the wielder of its light. Pyro is not discriminate. The flames are there for the taking, as a torch of truth, as the warm embrace of a beating heart, as the wild flame that drives back the darkness and burns away the safe and established world to make new paths for those bold enough to take them. This is the way of fire. This is Pyro. |

Pyrokinesis
The spark of fire begins in the soul and spreads outward, obeying the word and will of the one who lit its blaze. As a master of the secret fires at the heart of creation, you are able to control the size, shape, color, and intensity of any mundane fire within 10 meters of you. As an Action, you can increase or decrease the intensity of a fire by 1 degree (coldfire -> candle -> torch -> campfire -> bonfire -> inferno) or increase its size by 1 meter in all directions. You may perform this Action up to (Pyro) times during a single Scene, and when you do, decide the fire's color and shape.
Pick two Pyro Arts that reflect the ways you've learned to manipulate the flame. |
