Explosives
Compared to the semi-magical ordnance a talented (and daring) alchemist is capable of creating, the standard munitions of armies and revolutionaries look like mere fireworks.
Explosives are alchemical items that affect a large area when detonated. When you use an explosive as a Half Action, you'll light it and throw it into a space within 10 meters of you. You can either opt for the Explosive to detonate on impact or have a timed fuse that goes off at the start of your next turn. When the explosive goes off, all creatures caught in the blast must Save or be subjected to the Explosive's effect.
The size of the blast increases with Rank:

Until the Scene ends, the blast radius is filled with a dense cloud of sparkling blue smoke that blocks line of sight to any creature in or on the other side of it. A creature that ends its turn breathing in the smoke takes (Rank)d6 Chaos damage. The smoke can be ignited by fire for an explosive blast that deals (Rank)d10 Elemental damage and leaves the blast radius and everything within it burning for ongoing (Rank)d6 Elemental damage until the Scene ends or the flames are doused.
